The word teen can conjure up all kinds of images, ranging from memories of our own teenage years when we had our whole lives ahead of us to less happy sights of hooded youths in the street. Teenagers are often the unfortunate scapegoats for many of society’s ills, but not all teenagers are out to cause trouble, just as not all adults are out to have fun.

In the world of the teen, there are many things going on. It is a tough time when major changes are going on in their lives and when trends are very important. We all remember being a teenager and how important it was that give off a good impression to our peers and the opposite sex, which is why to some the word teen will conjure up images of the latest trends and musical tastes. This can range from fashion styles (ripped jeans and designer shirts for example) to the latest gadgets (such as mp3s, mobile phones and games consoles).\

It doesn’t end there. The world of the teen is a vast one that is ever changing and will undoubtedly take on a new form in years to come.
